Magpies and Magicks

"Wow this one is full of unexpected twists and turns. Claire and the gang really go through a lot.
Spooky in places and funny in others. This book keeps you guessing. Loved it."

"A great third installment to this highly enjoyable trilogy.

It’s a bit darker and more series this time around. One for sorrow, as Claire remarks every time she sees a single magpie. However, there is still brief moments of humor, lots of action with the marvelous cast of characters from the other books, a truly epic story, and some nail biting scenes. There is also lots of heart. The three books all have emotional scenes, and “Magpies and Magicks” has a strong theme running through it that provides the solid emotional core.

One of the things I really love about this trilogy is that I couldn’t predict where the story was going to go next. “Magpies and Magicks” was full of delightful surprises and changes in direction that kept me glued to the pages to find out what happened next. The story was very satisfying, and the perfect end to the trilogy. I can’t remember the last time I devoured three books in as many days! Looking forward to reading what the author produces next."

Pigeons and Pagans

"Yet realness of character, depth of meaning and the nuance of feeling keep this novel grounded and once again highly readable. Strongly recommended!"

"It kept me on the edge of my seat, just when I thought I had figured it out you went and put them on another path and I had to delve back in to find out what would happened next. What an ending too. This is a great series."

Seagulls and Seances

"I did try to guess in my head what was going to be behind the mystery that develops through the story, but of course I turned out to be completely wrong - and when the twist came I couldn't stop reading until I got to the end.  A binge-worthy page-turner."

"Loved this book. Again, it has the Drown trademarks of the brilliantly bonkers co-existing with modern day. As a fan of the supernatural/mystery genre I can recommend you should definitely get this book!"

Misery Breaks

"This anthology of Robin's mind spilled out onto page is brilliant. Dark and disturbing in places but at no point does it stray too far from laugh-out-loud hilarious. It will take your mind to places it doesn't want to go and didn't know existed, but on your return you'll be glad you went there."

"My goodness what a read! This book throws you straight in there. No holds barred and your away in another world completely captivated! Each short story is one you feel the need to discuss with someone afterwards and express how incredible and how it made you feel and what you take from it."
